After almost eight years, parents Robert and Susan Levy may finally have a bit of closure in the case of her daughter's untimely death.
I really hate using that word "closure". Can there ever truly be any for a parent who has lost a child?
My heart goes out to them, it truly does. In some way however, I suppose it will help with the healing process....then again, it may open up a whole new case of pain and loss. They say time heals all wound's, still, the wound's may not have gone away, the pain may come back all to real for them.
Police Chief Cathy Lanier informed the couple of a break in the case last Friday and that an arrest was "imminent in the next couple of days"
After eight years, you have got to respect the officer's involved. Cold cases very rarely get solved. These guys and gals never gave up. Maybe they are parent's, brother's and sister's and simply said "We aren't gonna let this one get away"
Whatever the motivation the officer's of Washington D.C. need to be recognized and applauded. They truly exemplify what a police officer is and does for the community.
I suppose Mr. and Mrs Levy haven't really let it all sink in. To quote Mrs. Levy "It's a bittersweet relief, not that we'll ever get our daughter back but we need the truth."
Statements have not yet released who the suspect is, a wise decision, make sure it's 100 per cent then name the B@STARD involved.
As a father,it's something I simply cannot fathom going through, a simply offering condolences doesn't seem like much, but it's all I have to offer.
There is more to the story but until I have all of the fact's this is all I will say, except on a personal note to the Levy's.
Should you need a friend, myself and family are here.
