A file photo is making it's way across the net and the world after TMZ displayed a photo of Rihanna after an alleged beating by bf Chris Brown.

The entertainment world has been abuzz since Thursday when a photo of a battered-looking Rihanna leaked to the Web.

The photo is reported to have been taken by police to record the damage of the alleged assault by Rihanna’s boyfriend, Chris Brown, two weeks ago.

The photo could be key in determining the amount and severity of the charges that could be brought against him, a popular singer.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office is reported to currently be considering charges of domestic violence and assault resulting in great bodily harm.

Brown released a statement last week, saying, “Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.” Rihanna has so far avoided the media and has not released any statements. You have to respect her for that and Brown should be worried because of her silence.

The leak of the photo is also creating controversy. The Los Angeles Police Department labeled it a serious misconduct and has launched an internal investigation into the source of the leak.

However it goes down, it the beating is true then I personally hope she makes him a messenger to woman beaters everywhere and he does some real time, not celebrity time.
