A Thai firefighters dressed up as Spider-Man to save an autistic boy who climbed on a balcony on the third floor and was swinging his legs because of nervousness the first day of school.Fireman/Hero Yoosabai (Somchai) was called after the 11-year old could not be talked down by either his teacher or mother.
"He was nervous the first day at school," said Somchai. "He cried and refused to let anyone approach him."
Listening to a conversation between the child's mother and his teachers about his love of comics and superheroes, Somchai was quick to fire into a revolving costumes for Spider-Man in action before they rocked.
"I told him that Spider-Man is here to save you," said Somchai. "Then I told him walking slowly towards me. I was very nervous, he could have escaped too excited and ran."
Somchai, who maintains a Spider-Man costume and Japanese superhero Ultraman encourage's fire drills in schools.
The boy is safe and a Hero is recognized.
