How to Flirt Online Successfully

Tis the season for love to blossom. And Linda requested some online dating advice.

Here you go Linda ... and the rose is for you :)

Flirting online may not be as challenging as flirting in real life. Chatting or e-mailing gives you some time to think over your response. However, you cannot see the other person's facial expression or real reaction in order to weigh the impact of your remark. You do not have to worry. Flirting comes natural and you should play everything by the ear. Be sensitive to the other person's hints and take it from there. Just be honest and true to yourself. Most of all, never lead anyone on.

1. Most flirting starts with the online dating sites' communication tools. These tools may include, winking, blowing a kiss or sending a special greeting. Respond to these notices as promptly as you can. It can be a short message or an invitation to meet at the online dating sites' chat room.

2. Start the conversation by asking casual questions. Ask how his/her day went or if he/she did something interesting. This will allow you to look into the person's life without being intrusive. Study the clues the other person gives about his/her life then take the conversation from there.

3. Most online dating sites provide private chat rooms where you can chat with one person at a time. Use them wisely. If this is your first time to communicate with a potential date, avoid sexual invitations. Keep it light and easy. Remember that humor is also a form of flirtation. Imagine that the other person is laughing with your over a cup of a coffee rather than making out with you in a dark room.

4. Make yourself sound interesting without coming off as boastful or bragging. Begin by hinting about interesting things you did or are involved in. You may hint about interests you are passionate about and say that you are willing to impart more of yourself once you get to know each other better. Always keep a good amount of intrigue. Intrigue makes the flirtation more interesting.

5. Lastly, instead of saying "good-bye", give a more personal sign out greeting. You can say "I hope to chat with you again", or "It was really fun getting to know you". This suggests that you really had a good time and would enjoy seeing the other person online again.
