What's next?
I just read this article about an airline company, Spirit which is thinking about charging a "passenger usage fee" — perhaps $5 to $10 per ticket — for the privilege of buying a ticket anyplace other than at Spirit's airport ticket counters.
The fee, designed to cover reservation-booking costs, will be part of Spirit's aggressive and edgy strategy, which doesn't always fly well with passengers, no kidding.
For now rival companies aren't looking at charging the same fee.....they will if it becomes profitable.
I mean come on, times are tough and that 10 bucks might be too much for people. I don't know about the rest of North America or the world for that matter but up here in Canada we have our train service plugging everywhere with cheaper rates to get folks to travel the rails and the airlines are lower prices not adding extra fee's.
Hell I'd take the train if I didn't have to travel 45 minutes to get to it.
Gotta love that stupid decision; take a train out of a city with 70,000 people and put it in city with 15,000.
Smart, huh.
Airline companies wake up and be smart. Extra fee's means less business.
