Spring Cleaning. It is during this time of the year that most folks get out and clean up, the spring cleaning fever that goes through all of us. We feel a need to clean out clutter and reorganize everything in our lives.
For myself, I use it as a way to convince myself that the snow will be gone "tomorrow".....if only, and yes where I live there is still quite a bit of the white stuff.
I actually wasn't even aware that it was called National Cleaning Week (March 22-28). That is in the USA, here in Canada we simply call it what it is Spring Cleaning.
It' funny the differences, the little things....Canadians call a spade a spade as the saying goes, we don't have trumped up names for things, we call them what they are.
This time of year throughout, the world does have one thing in common. The love bug which sweeps through everybody, more so if you're single, not so much if you have just gone through a recent break-up.
Whichever the case, here and now is the time to get out there and meet someone special.
Start socializing. In most places there is a huge need for more volunteers this time of year and a lot of singles meet that way, plus you feel good about community involvement.
Quit blaming the times, a friend of mine is doing that, it's annoying. Going on a date can be a walk in the park, grab a coffee at a cafe. It doesn't have to be a big expense. Personally, if your date is all about you spending your hard earned money on crazy things, re-evaluate and run. Trust me.
Focus on finding someone that matches with you on as many levels as possible and look beneath the surface. Dating someone who is eye candy is great for both men and women, however after awhile the edge goes off because there is nothing in common, or you get tired of explaining everything.
Want to know a great way to gauge a relationship's future? Go shopping. It sounds sill, I know. Try it, you might be surprised.
Ditch all past experiences, they don't matter. You are in the here and now.
Move on.
