GM has been working overtime to meet deadlines that the US government placed on them. The deadline is June 1 2009. If it doesn't then the world renowned automobile builder will be declaring Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.Personal opinion, the management should all be ashamed of themselves. Their greed will lead to thousands of people out of work while they will have made enough money to sustain themselves.
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
When this whole bailout started I had mentioned to a friend of mine that, and again this is my opinion, that the governments both Canada and our friends in the United States should have worked to help the little guy and put in much stronger requirements. The government and GM dropped the ball. I do, however put 98 percent of the blame on the Unions behind this.
It is union stupidity that caused the majority of this with their ignorance and smooth talking to employees that hear what thye want to hear but don't educate themselves on the issues or what is going on at the bargaining tables.
I have worked for two unions so I have quite an indepth knowledge of how they work. Unions, at one time were alright...maybe. But as of late they have done nothing to ruin lives. Any union worker or boss or delegate who wants to argue that point can argue it all they weant. Argue it while you are collecting your unemployment check and when that runs out and you have no job and no security and no future tell me how great the union was to you and your family.
