This is quite literally marketing at it's finest. The new season of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" premieres on Monday, May 25th, 2009 at 9:00 PM ET/8:00 PM CT on TLC.
Interesting isn't it? The show may have been going down in the ratings, they may have begun losing their fan base. So what do you do?
You create a Buzz. You create controversy. You create uncertainty. Take notes lol.
By doing this you win Big Time. The regular viewers want to know if Jon was cheating with a school teacher and they want to know if Kate is cheating with the bodyguard.
Personally, I doubt either is true. But it has the entertainment news columnists and gossips riveting in delight because whether you like it or not Bad News Sells. Controversy Sells.
Old fans stick around, fans on the fence are compelled to find out the truth and new fans are born just from the Hype.

I have never watched the show, nor will I. I have my own family to worry about let alone theirs.
