A good deed goes very wrong

A good deed goes very wrongA good deed goes very very badly. I could not have dreamed this one up.

Ah, children. They love their parents and every once in awhile they do something special for their parent's. Well, sometimes the good deed becomes a serious issue. A serious financial issue.

In Jerusalem, an Israeli woman was doing a good deed for her mom. She bought her a new mattress. Nice enough, mom is getting older and a new mattress will help her sleep better, right? Not this time.

Mom's old mattress had her entire life savings in it. A tidy sum of $1 million dollars. OUCH.

They are checking landfills to find it. Good luck, especially after making it public knowledge. Not to mention fighting with the 2,500 tons of garbage arriving at the site every day.

I truly hope they find it.

One million dollars in her mattress? Crazy old broad.

Another couple years she probably would've forgotten it was there anyway.

@ A-Hole Guru - she may have forgotten it...still I agree that is nuts.

@ John - I think making it public info was worse than losing it....now everyone will look
