As we approach 2010

It amazes me that 2010 is almost here. I can fondly remember dancing at a local club being young(er) and excited as we waited for the arrival of the notorious year 2000. Little did we know that it was to prove to be one of, if not the worst decades of my generations history.

There was only concerns about computer's crashing and the now somewhat infamous Y2K bug...remember that silly scare.

So we can cover the decade as it happened with the craziness surrounding it.

The Pope apologized for the wrongdoings of Catholic Church members, a sad state for the Church if ever there was one.

The September 11, 2001 attacks which we are still fighting today. I really don't understand why. It is my personal opinion that all we need to do is take all Nato member's and friendlies out of the area....and then send a clear message. They flew planes into the Trade Tower's and killed over 3,000 innocents, not soldiers fighting on a battlefield, it's time to end this war.

There was so much that went on during the past decade it is hard to fathom, since the majority of it was and still is bad. We will go into 2010 with world financial issues....war....hunger....all the bad things that life has to offer. Change is needed fast my friends. Very fast.

For a much more comprehensive list of the decade in review check out Thane Brunett's column over at the Toronto Sun website titled Notorious dates of the decade.
