How to make home made Christmas cards

Well, my wife is an avid scrap booker for those of you who don't read regularly, and as a result....well....

Tis the Season and as she mentioned, there are alot of folks out there who need to say money for Christmas. On that note we are somewhat changing the theme and style of the blog for the next couple of weeks by posting tips for home made Christmas cards, gifts etc.

Keep checking back or better yet sign up for our feed. Enjoy the article.

How to make Christmas cards

Supplies you'll need:

1 piece 8-1/2" by 11" card, preferably colorful and stock type, not to thin.
1 piece 8-1/2" by 11" or 12" by 12" double sided pattern card
6 blue mini brads/mini eyelets/snowflake punchies
1 half-inch snowflake shaped brad/eyelet/punchie
Glue or liquid tape lol

Tools you'll need:

Word processor
Paper cutter and good cutting scissors
Hole punch
Free Adorable Font

Here is how you can make a home made Christmas card.

Open up Word on your PC.

Open word processor:

1. Start by setting the page to the landscape option, you find this in the File Options.

File -> Page Setup -> Paper Size ->Landscape.

2. Format the page with two columns.

Format -> Columns -> Two.

3. This is up to you but I strongly recommend that you set the bottom margin to 7". Simply slide the margins on the left and then insert a Text Box across the bottom center of the first column.

Insert -> Text Box.

4. Then type "Let it Snow!", in the Text Box. Once or twice, it's up to you. Do this in the Adorable font at size 20 and a Christmas color like color blue.

5. Change your line to 'No Line' by clicking on the line twice and setting Color -> No Line.

6. Copy text box and paste another one in the other column right at the bottom, that way you have two.

7. Check the print page set up and make sure the text boxes are in the right bottom corner in their columns, and once that is properly set up, Print it.

After you have printed your page all you have to do is cut the 8-1/2" by 11" sheet in half.

Voila!! Two cards.

Rinse and repeat!
