Can you Guess who this is?? You might be surprised

Life and money problems.

My viewpoint is this "If you're alive you have money problems (somewhere) regardless of who you are, where you live and how much you make.

Broke!! Who hasn't been? Feeling like there is no silver lining at the end of that dark cloud?

Been there, done that and read the book....several times. It's one of my fav's lol ;), I am pretty sure I have it printed on a tie dye shirt hehe. Just kidding.

Anyway. There is an old saying that goes something like this " If you think you can or can't you are right". What's my point your probably thinking, my point is if you don't like your life then change it. The world doesn't owe you a thing. The universe is unfolding as it should, you wanna better life than get off your poor, poor pitiful me kick and do something about it.

It's too hard, my friend said. I wanted to literally smack him but I couldn't. The joy of facebook...lol...I did it cyber style. So here is ultimately a tale I told him and am now sharing with you.

Can you guess who this is? No cheating read it before scrolling down ;)

1. A few years ago, maybe 6 or 7 (I won't make this easy) this person was on welfare and raising a child alone.

2. Was financially broke beyond what most people hit.

3. Had a vision and turned it into a tidy sum of 1 Billion Dollars, you read that right.

4. Is now 41 and living the good life.

The answer is:

Before I reveal that I want to go back to number 3. Re-read that if you please.

3. Had a vision and turned it into a tidy sum of 1 Billion Dollars, you read that right.

This person had a vision, a thought, an idea that was most certainly scoffed at by some people. But this person chose to go their way and didn't listen to the nasty nay-sayers.

Thank God. Because if she had we wouldn't be enjoying her wonderful works of fantasy and fiction. You "may" have heard of Harry Potter.

J.K. Rowling.

Yes J.K. Rowling was on welfare a single mother and raising her child when she got a call that changed her life and ours forever. Her books were going to be published.

Imagine for a moment how empty her life would have continued to be had she not chosen to believe in herself. Now imagine how many times you had a great idea and didn't follow through because of nay-sayers!

If you believe it, you can achieve it.

Get out there and change your fortune. It may not be easy, but nothing worth having ever is.

Why are you still reading? Get out there :) Make a personal motto and succeed!

Top Health Story - Canada issues warning against travel to Mexico

The Public Health Agency of Canada is advising against all non-essential travel to Mexico, due to the swine flu outbreak that has been linked to the deaths of 152 people in Mexico.

Travelers from Canada, it is recommended to defer non-essential or elective travel to Mexico until further notice, "said the advisory, published on Monday.

The United States, France, United Kingdom and Germany have also issued warnings against unnecessary travel to Mexico.

The World Health Organization of the pandemic alert level was raised from a phase 3 to phase 4, which marks the growing seriousness of the epidemic.

Phase 4 ratings - the first since 1999 - more on this and a video you may want to view

Paul Garwood spokesman for WHO said the organization is respect for individual countries in addressing the epidemic and travelers should be careful and follow their recommendation to the Government Travel.

"We now believe that the virus was found in the different countries is difficult to contain, we need to focus on mitigation," said Garwood CTV's Canada AM on Tuesday.

Ottawa recommends that people who must travel to Mexico must do the following to minimize risk:

* Wash hands frequently with soap in hot water.
* If water is not available, use an alcohol-based gel hand sanitizer.
* Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze and wash your hands afterwards.
* Avoid contact with people who seem to have respiratory diseases.
* Canada and Mexico to monitor the public health agency Web sites.
* Get vaccinated against seasonal influenza.

Despite the increase in the level of advice, the World Health Organization can not even predict that the epidemic becomes a pandemic.

So far, only Mexico has a serious illness with the virus, but the head of Canada's public health officer David Butler-Jones said that could change.

"We'll probably see more cases. We'll probably see more serious diseases. And we will probably - unfortunately - see the dead, so he says.

Four of the six cases diagnosed in Canada of swine influenza were students at King's Edgehill School in Windsor, NS

Rector said Joseph Seagram's Canada AM Tuesday that three of four students received a certificate of good health

"They are absolutely free to go home and go to school and play sports as they would," said Seagram.

The fourth is "recovering well and we hope that will be published today."

He said that life is back to normal after a few days at school.

"The flu is under way and students are beginning to be free of symptoms. Ran classes yesterday, and my hope is that participation will take the week."

A very informative article is Answers to swine flu questions, according to CNN these are the most important questions and answers being discussed right now.

(CNN) -- The World Health Organization has called it a "public health emergency of international concern."
A girl in Mexico City wears a mask outside a church on Sunday.

Seemingly out of nowhere, the swine flu virus has spread from person to person in Mexico and the United States, triggering global concerns as governments scramble to find ways to prevent further outbreak.

Q. What is swine flu?

A. Swine influenza, or flu, is a contagious respiratory disease that affects pigs. It is caused by a type-A influenza virus. Outbreaks in pigs occur year-round.

The most common version is H1N1. The current strain is a new variation of an H1N1 virus, which is a mix of human and animal versions.

Q. Does swine flu affect humans?

A. While the virus causes regular outbreaks in pigs, people usually are not struck by swine flu. However, there have been instances of the virus spreading to people -- and then from one person to another. The only difference is, says the CDC, transmission in the past did not spread beyond three people -- as it has done this time.

Q. What is behind the spread of the virus this time?

* Mexico City falls quiet, even for Mass

A. Researchers do not know yet know. People usually get swine flu from infected pigs. For example, farmers handling infected pigs can contract the virus. However, some human cases have occurred without contact with pigs or places they inhabited.

Q. What are the symptoms of swine flu?

A. The symptoms are similar to the common flu. They include fever, lethargy, lack of appetite, coughing, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Q. How does the virus spread?

A. The virus spreads the same way the seasonal flu does. When an infected person coughs or sneezes around another person, the latter is put at risk. People can become infected by touching something with the flu virus on it and then touching their mouth, nose or eyes. An infected person can pass the virus to another before any symptoms even develop. Video Watch advice on avoiding the swine flu »

Q. Why is this spread troubling?

A. Scientists are concerned whenever a new virus is able to jump from an animal to a person -- and then spread from person to person. When the flu spreads person to person, it can continue to mutate, making it harder to treat or fight off.

The World Health Organization has said the current outbreak has "pandemic potential," and has urged governments to take precautions to prevent its spread. If the virus continues to mutate, drug makers won't be able to come up with vaccines fast enough.

Q. Can swine flu be fatal?

A. Just like the regular flu, swine flu worsens pre-existing medical conditions in people. So people with already compromised immune systems can die after contracting it.

Q. But doesn't the common flu kill more people?

A. Yes, common seasonal flu kills 250,000 to 500,000 people worldwide every year. But what worries officials is that a new strain of the flu virus can spread fast because people do not have natural immunity and vaccines can take months to develop.

Q. Have there been swine flu outbreaks in the past?

A. From 2005 to January 2009, 12 human cases of swine flu were detected in the United States, without deaths occurring, the CDC said. In September 1988, a healthy 32-year-old pregnant woman in Wisconsin was hospitalized for pneumonia after being infected with swine flu and died a week later. And in 1976, a swine flu outbreak in Fort Dix, New Jersey, caused more than 200 illnesses and one death.

Q. What does the World Health Organization mean when it says swine flu has "pandemic potential"?

A. If the virus spreads over a wide geographic area and affects a large segment of the population, it is upgraded from an "epidemic" to a "pandemic."

Q. How deadly have pandemics been in the past?

A. In 1968, a "Hong Kong" flu pandemic killed about 1 million people worldwide. And in 1918, a "Spanish" flu pandemic killed as many as 100 million people.

Q. How can one keep from getting swine flu?

A. There are no vaccines available. But several everyday steps can help prevent the spread of germs: Washing hands frequently; avoiding close contact with people who are sick; and avoiding touching surfaces that might be contaminated. Video Watch how much of Mexico City has come to a halt »

* MayoClinic.com: Influenza (flu)

Q. Are there medicines to treat swine flu?

A. Yes, the CDC recommends using anti-viral drugs. They keep the virus from reproducing inside the body. And in an infected person, the drugs make the illness milder.

Q. Can one contract swine flu from eating or preparing pork?

A. No. Pork and other pig-derived products, if properly handled and cooked, do not transmit swine flu. The flu virus is killed by cooking temperatures of 160°F (70°C)

Google trend Hot Topic - Human Swine Flu in Canada

The first six cases of a mysterious new flu were confirmed in Canada yesterday as the United States moved to declare a national health emergency.

While the six reported cases in Canada and the 20 reported cases in the U.S. of swine flu were considered mild, authorities are concerned we could be seeing the beginning of something that could get much worse.

"Just because so far we have seen relatively mild, typical influenza symptoms ... it doesn't mean that we won't see either more severe illness or potentially deaths," said Dr. David Butler-Jones, chief public health officer of Canada.

"No one should lull themselves into thinking that everything is just fine because it's a relatively mild disease. We can't say that forever but we are doing everything to minimize that impact."

TAKE PRECAUTIONS

In Canada, public health officials tried to walk a fine line yesterday, calling on Canadians to be vigilant and take precautions while also urging them not to panic.

The reason the H1N1 swine flu virus has experts so concerned is that it appears to be a mixture of flu viruses that they've never seen before.

It is spreading from human to human and is cropping up in countries around the world.

While most flu viruses hit the very young and the very old the hardest, this one seems to be affecting young adults more than normal, said Dr. Kirsty Duncan, a Liberal MP and one of Canada's foremost experts on influenza pandemics.

"I think it is very concerning for everyone."

CONTROL ITS SPREAD

As Canadian researchers race to learn more about the new flu virus and develop a vaccine, public health officials are taking steps to control its potential spread.

At airports, passengers heading to or from Mexico will be handed a pamphlet, advising them what they should do if they experience symptoms of the flu. Border officers will be on the lookout for passengers displaying symptoms such as fever or coughing.

Some passengers have been referred for medical checks, said officials.

However, there are no plans to bring back the temperature scanners used during the SARS epidemic, said officials, explaining they weren't very effective.

The biggest outbreak of cases is in Nova Scotia, where four teenagers aged 12-17 from King's Edgehill School have been diagnosed with the virus.

The outbreak originated with a class trip down to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico earlier this month. Several students experienced flu symptoms after returning to Canada but they were so mild that they didn't raise any concerns.

Headmaster Joseph Seagram said 17 students and four staff members are in isolation -- either at the school or at home.

In British Columbia, two separate cases of the flu have been identified in people who had visited Mexico. Both patients have mild cases.

SEO is no easy task. A few myths.

SEO or search engine optimization, is knowledge you really have to keep yourself on top of if you do any internet marketing, in my mind anyway.

So today we look at the top SEO myths:

1. SEO is not a collection of tricks that can be used to get higher ranking. SEO doesn’t mean that you can fool the any search engine. Their algorithms and indexes rapidly change and search engines get smarter everyday.

2. Most people believe that you should submit your site on a weekly or monthly basis to search engines but it’s not like that. Submit your domain URL once and the search engines will find you.

3. Meta tags should be updated regularly and list whatever you want in that tag. It helps to get found when your keywords are being searched. It's not as important as it once was but it still helps.

4. A Google sitemap may help you to achieve a higher ranking as it helps to make a website crawler friendly. But it doesn’t guarantee for better ranking. If you use google blogger then your sitemap is created and indexed for you.

5. Update your website regularly as this is a factor which increases the crawl rate.

6. The right way to achieve success is not to do everything for search engines only think of the human factor also.

7. Header tags or H tags can also be helpful to achieve better ranking but it doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve ranking without H tags.

8. Search Engines use algorithms and each algorithm uses different factors while ranking a website. Keyword density is what that will let any web page rank higher. A keyword density of 4 to 15 % is recommended and high keyword density will get the website penalized.

9. The most economical form of online marketing is SEO and is very cost effective as compared to sponsored or banner advertising. Keep in mind that SEO clicks are free.

10. Many of the SEO guys think that it’s enough to optimize the home page with specified keywords this is simply not true at all. You should add keywords to each and every page of website while paying a little more attention to your Home Page.

11. SEO is a never-ending process and no one can guarantee ranking in search engine results.

These are some of the top SEO myths or the essentials of Search Engine Optimization. SEO, as a continuous and never-ending process.

The Top Ten reasons' to Shoot up your School.

I am getting so tired of hearing about these kids shooting at schools and each other...when kids are in high school you think they'd be a little more mature.....obviously not. So in honor of every high school punk who thinks they are better than the rest of the world and the ones that cry about everything else. This is for you loser's. The Top 10

1. They painted it after I told them not to. Like OMG...OMG.. the valley girls and snobs almost took out their weapons, but cell phones don't hurt (much)

2. Mrs. X said it was history re-enactment day. Yup Johnny, re-enactment....re-enactment....learn to read.

3. It's been done so many times in the past you don't want to be left out (like you always are, aren't you little Timmy)

4. It's the world's fault you didn't get any love from your mommy and daddy...that'll teach 'em right....kill total strangers.

5. Teachers don’t get combat pay. Or combat clothing, no protection and you never liked your Math teacher anyway.

6. Bill Gates got picked on in high school too. If the ultimate super nerd was picked on I must shoot up my school in his honor and the honor of all nerds...NOT, leave the man out of this.

7.No one shot up your school. That isn't nice, well your school IS nice but you deem it needs a few bullet holes and blood stains.

8.Prove your manhood; shoot up an armory instead. Might as well, the way these idiot teenagers are shooting up schools, us hard working tax payers might as well give schools armed guards and metal detectors.

9. The devil told me to do it....okay, leave George W. out of this.

10. (My personal favorite) There was nothing else to do today.

Life really isn’t that bad people, it isn't.

Things can always be worse and will most certainly get better as well. Only a total jerk (for lack of a better word) takes out his own personal problems on the rest of the world. So, you may be feeling bad this week. Smoke a joint for Christ sakes and leave the schools and innocent kids and teachers alone.

To fix your business, fix your brand.

There is an old saying for struggling business, this applies now more than ever:

To fix your business, fix your brand.

Some folks begin by redoing the company logo or mail out materials while these are all well and good they only fix the face. It's like cutting off the head to cure a headache. You have to fix your brand and what the brand offer's then you fix your actual brand.

When any company large or small re brands they will almost always do some form of PR or advertising letting people know that a re brand is coming.

This is done for two obvious reason's.

1. It keeps customer's informed of an upcoming change.

2. It builds up excitement, and that is what makes a successful relaunch.

To strengthen my point, if you know me or know anything about me then you are aware of what a huge Gordon Ramsay fan I am. When he does his television show Kitchen Nightmare's he slowly rebuilds a business and then relaunches not only the business but the brand by very subtle yet genius techniques.

Examples such as getting the employees and owners on the streets talking to customers and letting them know of the upcoming changes and also asking what they would like to see change. It's a perfect way to gauge what your customer's want and need. In the business world this is known as Re branding and Brand revitalization

As the old saying goes when you find a need and fulfill it success is at your fingertips. The rest is up to you.

Key points to follow:

If people believe you fill a need or niche with unwavering quality and a great price, you have a strong brand. If they think your offerings miss the mark, their beliefs weaken your brand and lessen your chances of a sale.

With the current economic situation companies and their brands are under tight scrutiny and customers are turning to brands they value and trust.

So for new businesses there are a few questions you need to answer:

“Does your name and logo reflect the needs of potential customers?”

"Is there indeed a market for what you have to offer?”

"Do you have a rock solid guarantee in place?

Once you have established these items then you are in good condition to go forward.

Always remember that any business is literally as easy as cooking a great meal.

Simple, honest ingredients will always win over something you took from a can and rehashed. If your business model is similar to another companies then give it a twist and something more, something special.

Too many people are losing work and careers and some are even losing their homes. A few, sadly have taken their lives.

"It's never that bad"

Look at the market and thrive on it. Weather the storm and come out on top.

Napoleon Hill during the Great Depression had full buildings rented by offering to suit the needs of tenants and he took a hit for awhile but once the recession ended he was making money hand over fist.

More millionaires will be made online and through real estate in the next five years than most people realize.

Make sure you are one of them.

Make sure you sign up for updates to this blog.

Go out there, the world is waiting.

Who lost on American Idol last night?

Who doesn't love American Idol?

Who lost on American Idol last night?

My kids love this show, granted I don't regularly watch it but when I do I find it quite comedic.

Rumors are that Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell may be leaving at the end of this season. If that becomes a truth then I have but one question.

Who one earth will replace Simon Cowell? His seat will certainly be a hard one to fill.

Here is a quick run down of the show:

The grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi joins veteran judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson on the panel as the hit reality competition series returns for its eighth season and of course Ryan Seacrest also returns as host, the jabs between him and Simon are always entertaining.

Last night was interesting as Simon Cowell and company finally invoked their Judges Save on "American Idol" Wednesday night by doing so they rescued Matt Giraud from elimination. He really can sing. Personally I hope he goes all the way. Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds also were on the block but the Michigan son had received the fewest number of viewer votes. Which is the deciding factor in a contestants elimination. Which also makes sense to me why some loser's have gone on to be more successful than the winners. Matt's version of a Bryan Adam's hit is what made Simon proclaim good news: the judges had decided to use their one-time-only Save and call him back to the contest. He (Cowell) then advised everyone of two bits of bad news: The last-minute save of Matt will absolutely guarantee two eliminations next week. To make it even more unnerving, next week's theme is disco.

Who was cut from American Idol. Congrats must still go to this season's loser's....well, not loser's I mean give them credit they made it to the show. They were winner's from the beginning.

Happy Earth Day everyone - Top 10 Things to Help Earth Day

I hope everyone tried to do at least one thing today to support green day. There are so many things we can do to help save the Planet.

I am not an activist I do however believe that simple things can make a big difference. So I compiled a list. :)

The Top 10 Things to Help Earth Day and see what some celebrities do as well like Josie Maran - How does she go green? She even owns her own eco-friendly cosmetics line, which uses biodegradable packaging and "embraces eco-friendly initiatives

1. If you don’t have curbside recycling take your recycling materials to a local school or library and dump it in their recycling bin. They are paid for the material they recycle. The money goes to providing better services for the kids.

Hayden Panetierre - she is involved with dolphin and whale protection groups

2. Start a compost pile, cheap and very effective.

3. Take the bus today. It saves you money on gas anyway or you could...

4. Carpool. Extra cash in your pocket and less immissions.

5. Spring clean your home donate your unwanted, but still good items to a church or other charity.

6. If you haven’t done so yet replace your light bulbs with energy efficient ones.

Alicia Silverstone - Besides having a solar-paneled house with bamboo flooring, a Prius hybrid and an organic-vegetable garden, she's also passionately involved in animal-rights causes.

7. Donate money to your favorite green cause.

8. Log on to Earth Day and register to vote.

9. Freecycle! Freecycle! Freecycle!

10. Have a garage sale. You will be surprised at what people will buy at garage sales. You’ll earn a few dollars; and hey money is "green" okay bad joke.

So get out there and clean up ;)

Youtube - Popular, powerful and pretty. But how do I make youtube videos?

I have had a few questions relating to you tube and how to use you tube for more exposure.

Eric asks: "How can I create a youtube video without buying software?"

Eric that is a great question and one that quite a few folks ask. Good news.

As long as you have a PC you have a built in video maker file right at your fingertips. It's called Window's Movie Maker. To access it follow this:

Start menu > All Programs > Windows Movie Maker will be there. If you don't see it on that main screen that comes up go through all of your window's options. It's there.

Okay you found it? Great.

Now how to use it. Actually it's pretty simple really.

The first thing you want to do is have a draft or idea of what you want to do. For example do you want to capture a movie from your cell phone or your camera?

The capture video section walks you all the way through it.

The odd time I make video's however I simply go with Option 2. The Edit Movie section.

From there I can add my video and music files and tweek it and presto....well not exactly presto but within an hour or two depending on what I have done.

Once your finished preview it and go to file and save.

Done.

The next question is How to make money on youtube.

Youtube is quite scary, honestly it is so viral it's nuts. I actually had a video I made 2 years ago that got over 1.8 million views but I had to remove it because I put the wrong music file in it and I was actually violating the TOS. Lesson learned, make sure you have the proper permission before uploading music files. Youtube will actually give you a few options where you can find legal to use sound bites or music.

If you make a video send it to all of your friends and ask them to send it to friends. If it is funny or unique it will spread across the net fast. That's all fine but you want to know how to make money from it right?

At the beginning and end of the video make sure you put something like "Brought to you by (your url here)"

Viewer's will more times than not go to your site.

That's killing two birds with one stone as the saying goes. You get traffic and potential customers.

What the hell is blogging?

This was and is a great question.

What the hell is blogging?

Why do people blog?

Will a blog help my business?

How to make money blogging?

And my personal favorite:

What bloggers won't tell you about blogging.

Alrighty then. Let's tackle each one step by step....wow Backstreet Boys just jumped into my head....yikes...where was I? Oh yeah...blogging questions.

Before we go any further I will say upfront that the answers provided are mine and mine alone. I have different viewpoints on blogging from most people and well.....if I seem to be way out there then good....I always think outside the box.

Question number 1.

What the hell is blogging? Blogging, to me at least is a great way to stay in touch with people from around the world and stay up to date. Yes we have email and yes we have social media sites but the cool thing about blogging is that anyone can set up a blog for business or personal use and keep it private from the rest of the web.

I hear silence....it amazes me how so few people do not know of this little trick. Even if you use blogger, as I do for the majority of my blogs there is an option to make the blog private in your dashboard.

But why do you want to do that?

Simple, the blog could have several contributors about family or work or whatever and you don't want to share it with the rest of the planet.

I have one for friends that are from high school, so why would you want to read about memories of other people? Then again, maybe you would. :)

Blogging originally started as just that.

Question number 2.

Why do people blog? Aside from the reason's mentioned above, people blog to make money. Several people make a lot of money from blogging....I am on my way and I truly hope you are also.

Question number 3.

Will a blog help my business?

In a word...Absolutely. Any online presence helps a business but blogs seem to have a special power to rank in search engines quickly, granted this is usually short lived as most people don't keep them up dated or don't get actively involved in their blogs lively hood. If you blog properly then the sky is the limit.

Question number 4.

How to make money blogging?

This one is tricky. That depends on you and what you are blogging about and how much time and effort you will put into your blog. It's not like the good old days of internet blogging (2004-2006) lol, where you could throw up a blog in 10 minutes post, tack on adsense or cpa's and watch the cash roll in...believe me it used to be that easy.

A few options are to do affiliate linking, cpa's etc. This one is up to you and your personal blog and views, it can definitely be done however.

And my personal favorite:

What bloggers won't tell you about blogging.

Most bloggers spend 3 to 5 hours a day doing various tasks. I spend over 10 hours doing research, answering emails and contributing in various places around the net. So what most pro bloggers won't tell you is it's hard work. Sorry to scare you here, but when you blog and you take your blog seriously you have a real business and real things to do.

Such as:

Write articles.

Post daily.

Update the style every now and then.

Contribute in forums.

Answer reader's questions.

Keep up to date on the latest technology.

Etc, etc, etc.

This is not to say blogging is a bad thing. It's a great thing if you have a passion for helping people and making a difference. Maybe even a little cash. Don't quit your day job right away, it can take months or years to see a first paycheck. But once they start....you get so motivated to be even more successful that you will be.

A final note.

What does blog mean?

I have been asked this several times also and my personal answer is this:

Better
Listing
On
Google

BLOG ;)

I might be wrong, probably am...but hey...it works for me.

Success online how to - 6 great ways to build online credibility

Create credibility for your business online

Being a credible source online is no easy task, there is so much crap online that it truly is hard to accomplish....sadly many give up before they achieve this and what's worse is they more than likely pretty close to success. SO what are a few ways to build credibility?? You can do this by providing well written, informative guides or how - to articles for your readers and (future) customers. Over deliver at all times.

If you are going to do any type of affiliate marketing make sure you purchase what you are going to sell, the reason behind this is simply this: If you think something is useless what do you think your customer's will think? The same thing most likely and you look like a bad person and they never return. I admit I am speaking from personal experience. When I first started out I had dreams of all the nice cars, the huge mansion etc, etc, I fell for it hook line and sinker and started throwing garbage all over my blog. Guess how many people were reading my blog? Yup, me and me alone.

Always offer what you yourself would want to purchase or learn.

Get into forums, talk with other members don't just sign up throw up a sig file and walk away. There is so much to be learned from successful marketer's in forums and for the most part a lot of them give little tricks and tips that will increase your visibility online. The added bonus is that if you have something excellent to offer (I know you do) it will impress other members and from there you can expect J.V offer's and a world of other great things to happen, like gaining excellent credibility.

Credibility equals traffic equals money in your pocket.

Many people think that there are not many possibilities for online success? Not true at all. Find something you love to do and do it. Stay away from the mainstream make money stuff. There is a grandmother pulling in thousands of dollars a year by offering home decorating tips, there are teenagers creating myspace layouts....think outside the box.

1. Always over deliver. Period.

Although the Internet is the "new economy", the old fashion business rule still applies: The most successful companies are those that are able to create value for their customers.

The success of your website depends on the value you offer. The more your site is able to make life easier for your customers or help them save money, your company is valuable to them. This means not only to an online brochure, but how your website visitors can help them. Your site must provide sufficient information. If you sell a product, a clear description of the product and its features and benefits must be clear and concise. Your potential customers should be able to cover most of your questions about your site. Collect the questions of customers and have a FAQ or frequently asked questions section. This allows the visitor answers to frequently asked questions about your services.

2. Focus on win-win situations

Search engines reward sites that are linked, and thus give more link juice. The success of online businesses may use other websites to promote their products through affiliate programs, again this establishes credibility.

3. Focus on Humans first, search engines later.

Having a great SEO website is obviously important for the search engines to find it and crawl it but if no one goes to it for more than 30 seconds then what's the point?

4. Unite with like minded businesses.

If you have a product and you know of a successful marketer or company then ask if you can link with them. Even if this costs a bit of money (and the right sites almost always do) it is well worth your site to be on a homepage of another site that brings in a lot of traffic as it guarantees traffic to your site.

5. Focus on Branding your name.

If you are a blogger on your own, or a small business on your own always, let me say that again ALWAYS use the same picture or logo everywhere you go. It is a great way to prove who you are when people search your name or company name and the same photo shows up. If it is your picture people are more inclined to visit as it shows you have nothing to hide, not even your face.:)

6. Don't focus on today, focus on tomorrow.

The internet changes daily, faster even. If you are struggling for a topic or for something hot for your site there are lots of ways to discover what people want. My personal two favorites are on site polls, ask your reader's get them involved. You will get feedback. Another great place to go is google, more specifically google hot trends.

Okay that is all for today...I now have carpel tunnel ;) but when my reader's ask they receive.

Share your tips for cutting food costs

The key to saving money grocery shopping is to plan your meals, make a chart of what each meal will be. and then look for sales. There are always the dredded flyers and coupons. A lot of people feel bad using coupons but I gotta tell you folks I have friends who make over $200,000 a year and they USE coupons....why aren't you?

  • We keep track of what goes in and out of your freezer, this is also for health reasons.
  • Buy produce from your local Farmer's Market, fresh and cheaper always works for me.
  • Keep your pantry organized.
  • When shopping make your list also count as to what store you will purchase specific items from, thus always getting the savings. Don't do this if you have to drive overly out of your way or the money you save you burn in gas.

There are many places online to find coupons as well. Just search google, different coupons are available based on where you live so always put in your real postal/zip code to make sure you get ones you can actually use.

Any other ideas?

Feel free to leave a comment below.

Prepaid Credit cards getting more popular, here's why

Credit card's are important for treatment and proper care, because you have invested in them. The same security card, check the reliability of banks, the rules and policies must also be completed to ensure that all you need to succeed with the card. A growing number of bank fraud is just around the corner, you find the actual damages, if you lose all the money, for their hard work and the fact that banks do not rely on the commitment resulted in the actual security for the money.

This is why many people have done research, only the bank agreement, trust management. Some advice from lawyers, even those who are experts recommend the best to get a credit card prepayment. Legal experts were warning that many of the bank's fraud is suspected, how the various parts of the world. It offers the public the secrets of how to ensure that no is fooled by the organization.

Although the warnings and recommendations on how to cope with the increasing number of the bank's fraud, there re also more and more people slowly sinking in to the common problems of the banks, in particular the impact of credit debt. Since before the payment and credit cards, nearly straddling the market, it is difficult for some people to decide the appropriate forum for this. It is only after the card can be successfully implemented financial management, he knows that the card used to be sufficiently reliable to support the demand for credit, and won't put him over the credit cliff. Above all, the card owner can relax on the couch, once again proved that the bank is responsible, there is no doubt, for his credit card acceptance.

You must pay attention to your address before payment by credit card. Indubitably, the prepaid card, is very important these days. Therefore, it is very reliable, especially those who are more vulnerable to financial seminars for them. However, if the person is no longer a reliable source, prepaid card, or they have to expect the financial obligations of the cliff, more than usual.

Here are some tips for finding reliable sources of the best prepaid credit card:

Federal Deposit Insurance * Joint Stock Insurance - This is wise, and you have a bank with banks and insurance Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Where is a place in future, try to find somewhere to solve PDIC insured bank.

Signs of the search - way to determine before payment is reliable or not through your login. We need to find a symbol of Visa or MasterCard embedded. A plastic card design.

Online - The Internet is handy for those hungry and thirsty any more detailed information. You can find the results and to determine whether the bank to apply for prepaid cards is legal or not.

'It was the right thing to do'

'It was the right thing to do' he says of $10,000 donation to United Way.

Every day I am more and more amazed at the good in people. If only we look to find it.

As we all know, worldwide, the economy is very, very unstable. There are mixed views and mixed opinions. One thing stands true however, we are in a recession and a bad one. But the great thing about the human spirit is it is deeply imbedded in our DNA to get through bad days, weeks, months...Hell even years.

Somehow we find the inner strength we need to survive. We find something within us that guides us. I believe it to be a combination of spirit and up bringing. It can also be attributed to our personal philosophy on life.

Right now all I hear is "I need...." or "I wish...." or my personal favorite "Why does this always happen to me?"

Success in any time is a great feeling, but the thing that bother's me the most is that the vast majority of people feel that success can only be measured by one's possession's, one's wealth.

Not true.

Meet Jim Dancy of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

As of today the most successful man I have not (and most likely never will ) be introduced to.

Why has this man I have never met earned this title?

He won a lottery, a lottery worth $10,000.00. You're probably thinking "lucky" guy no doubt. Personally I didn't much care either until I read the story.

He won the money and then he gave it all to the Greater Kalamazoo United Way. His charity of choice.

In the hard times so many are facing, the United Way needs all the help it can get, in any form, food or shelter. Even clothing but especially money.

A man who won enough money to help himself first, as so many people do, has helped countless others with this incredible gift of generosity and kindness.

He was quoted as saying:

"I feel very good today, knowing I could help a little — probably my 'best day' in a long time. When everyone was thanking me, I was thinking how much you all do every day, and thought it should really be the other way around: I should be thanking you. So, thanks for your work," he said.

Mike Larson, Greater Kalamazoo United Way's president and chief executive said the donation couldn't have come at a better time.

No kidding.

Jim you are a great man, no matter what you do the rest of your life, you have proven to be a man of greatness on countless levels and as such you should be congratulated.

That my friends is the truest measure of success. Giving when it's not easy to give. He is not a millionaire, it might not have been easy to part with such a large amount of money....but he thought of other's first.

Quick fact: Dancy is co-founder, vice president and chief operating officer of Innovative Analytics, a biological research company in Kalamazoo. He said he felt good about his decision and was confident that United Way was the correct recipient.

So you want honesty and integrity do ya? Ever heard of Matt Garrett?

You know now-a-days you can never be too careful online. Awhile back, recently actually my system was hacked very badly. At first I thought it was the conifer virus, then I thought it was the kids, then I realized I was so running my system without security.

Yup, blogging for as long as I have been blogging and doing stuff online when I upgraded my PC I totally forgot to re-install antu-virus software. I didn't even have a free one. Bang....my PC was just waiting to be attacked, it was cyberly thinking kill me, kill me....send my owner a message.....okay over-dramatic but still.

So why am I writing about this? What's my point?

My point is that a very trusted online marketer who's subscriber list I am on had sent me to one of his pages for a great offer. Not surprisingly, Matt Garrett always over-delivers, so I was very upset when I got to the page and my anti-virus software shot my screen and doomy read and dark message ATTACK SITE.

I immediately removed the page, reset my cache, cleared everything and removed myself from the mailing list explaining why.

Witihin the hour I had a reply from Matt explaining the new anti-virus programs are very sensitive.

So I checked my system and it was true, sensitive based on my settings.

I emailed Matt back apologizing for the alarm and he responded by letting me know I was not the first person on his list to go through this experience.

I asked him to resubscribe me, foolish on my part, I know he can't, it's against the law. He sent me an email link to resubscribe and get some goodies for free for my trouble.

My friends if you are looking for an under the radar mentor.

Someone who truly plays by the rules.

Who truly cares about his students.

Matt Garrett is the man to have as a guide.

He is honest, always over-delivers and does something I have never seen before in my time online:

He Actually Takes the Time to Answer his Subscriber's.

Truly a giant among giants.

Well, I usually don't do testimonials but under the circumstances this had to be done.

If you do any internet marketing at all or want to learn I can help you, but let's be honest.

Matt Garrett can help you MORE!

Check out his great start up page here

Don't forget his awesome Blog Tactics here

That's all for today.

Personal Motivation for My Friends

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're traveling seems all uphill,
When funds are low and debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When cares are pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must...but don't you quit.

Life is hard with it's twist and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns.

And many a person turns about,
When they might have won, had they stuck it out.

Don't give up, though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man.
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late, when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you musn't quit.

Is Tamara Hoffman another Mary Kay Letourneau?

The state of Washington gave out a sigh almost at once from what I have read. They have nothing to really be ashamed of, after all they aren't the only state, city, village or town to house such an embarrassing underage sex scandal. Amazingly it almost seems the norm these days.

Makes me wonder what happened to good old fashioned values?

Case in point; Tamara Hoffman.

In 2007, Tamara Hoffman was removed from her position as a math teacher from Marcos de Niza high school, after reports she allegedly having an affair with one of her students, Sixto Balbuena. The police weren't able to prove sexual acts had taken place, Hoffman was reassigned to an administrative position, and later resigned.

Proof of her sin perhaps?

Fast forward to her next position (bad choice of words ;)) at El Dorado high school, where she met an 18 year old student, Samual Valdivia and began had an affair with him. An affair that caused his death by the hand of the first student.

This is prime Jerry Springer material.

What happens now...who knows.

Let the court sort it out.

What is more important is trying to figure out how these things keep happening.

Teacher's, male and female are in a trusted position to teach our kids, not harm them, having an affair with a child does harm them, maybe not physically but mentally. Perhaps it's time for stiffer sentences or will it matter?

When a teacher hurts a student in any way, with the intent of hurting them or self serving themselves make the prison time life. No parole.

That might deter the next teacher or person in a trusted position to re-think their intentions.

Just my thoughts.

Comments are welcomed and encouraged.

How can we prevent these situations from happening and ensure our own children do not go through the same thing?

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since "Colombine"

They weren't all the bad things people thought, or were they?

Those two teenage kids who murdered 13 people and then killed themselves at suburban Denver's Columbine High School 10 years ago next week weren't in the "Trenchcoat Mafia," disaffected videogamers who wore cowboy dusters.

They managed to divide a country. Divide the country based on how everyone felt about it. At the same time they united North America and I am sure several other parts of the free world by sparking a huge debate over the issue of the real criminals...the bullies.

Strange considering records now shows Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold hadn't been bullied — quite the opposite, they had bragged about picking on freshmen and "fags."

Their acts served notice to schools the world over to be on the look out for enemy lists, lists of people mainly students that weaker kids had had enough of. Again an interesting twist seeing as the enemies on their list had graduated from Columbine a year earlier.

More misinformation at the time was that Harris and Klebold weren't on antidepressant medication and didn't target specific students, they shot first come, first dead. That story about a student being shot in the head after she said she believed in God? Never happened, the FBI now admits. I am shocked they admitted it at all.

A decade after Harris and Klebold made Columbine a black mark in recent history we are learning that much of what the public has been told about the shootings is wrong.

Truth is the kids wanted to go out in a blaze of glory via a bomb. A bomb that Harris built. A bomb that didn't work.

So whom did they want to kill?

Everyone — including friends.

What's now beyond dispute — largely from the killers' journals, which have been released over the past few years, is this: Harris and Klebold killed 13 and wounded 24, but they had hoped to kill thousands.

Anyway we slice it, they will go down in History as the Colombine kids.

Amazingly enough, I like most people remember the name Colombine. I don't remember their names. That's how it should be, remove their names from the record books, remember Colombine and the innocent lives lost.

Forget their names, they don't deserve the recognition. They deserve what they got.

Death.

The Taliban in Afghanistan have publicly killed a young couple

The Taliban in Afghanistan have publicly killed a young couple who they said had tried to run away to get married, officials say. They put the love birds against a wall, took out some AK-47's and opened fire!

I am in total shock. Granted these Taliban are nut jobs but now they have done the entire world a favor and very directly proven what we in the West have known all along.

They are beyond the point of fanatics....they are animals pure and simple.

The man, 21, and woman, 19, were shot at point blank range on Monday in front of a mosque in the province of Nimroz.

Nimroz is an area where the Taliban have an obviously very strong influence.

Governor Ghulam Dastageer Azad told the AFP news agency the killings followed a decree by local religious leaders and were an "insult to Islam".

Mr Azad said: "An unmarried young boy and an unmarried girl who loved each other and wanted to get married had eloped because their families would not approve the marriage."

These kids were tracked like animals after trying to get to Iran and safety.

"Three Taliban mullahs brought them to the local mosque and they passed a fatwa (religious decree) that they must be killed. They were shot and killed in front of the mosque in public," the governor said.

He said there were some reports that the families of the young couple may have links with the Taliban. The Taliban could not be immediately reached for comment.

What would they say? Praise Allah we killed two kids who were....in love!

Correspondents say that the killings took place in a remote and dangerous region, where the government has no access, can you blame them? They show up there they are most likely shot on site also.

The Taliban did rule Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001 with an iron fist of there personal view on the Islamic Sharia law, carrying out public killings and torture.

Unmarried men and women were forbidden from talking or meeting in public and women were not allowed out of their homes without a male relative. Girls were discouraged from going to school, makes sense doesn't it? If they go to school they get educated and slowly realize what nut jobs these animals truly are. Keep them ignorant eh boys.....unreal.

Extrajudicial "honour killings" have been widely carried out in Afghanistan since then by conservative families angered by a relative who has brought them shame - usually by refusing to marry a chosen partner.

The coalition needs to step up presence there. I know NATO troops are doing their best, I am sure those brave soldiers would just love to drop a bomb there and be done with it, however that would kill a lot of innocent people who are to afraid to do anything and rightly so, they live in a prison type state, where death looms at any time.

What a horrible way to live.

Roadside bomb claims life of Canadian soldier, wounds four others

Being a former Canadian soldier, every time I read this type of headline it bother's me dearly. More so when it is a Canadian.

This brave young soldier was just two weeks into her first tour of duty in Afghanistan has become the latest Canadian killed in action.

Trooper Karine Blais, 21, died and four other soldiers were wounded late Monday afternoon when their APC or armoured personnel carrier rolled over a roadside bomb in the Shah Wali Khot district, just north of Kandahar.

The young woman was serving with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal 22nd Regiment based at Valcartier, near Quebec City....known to other Regiments as the Van-Doo's.

A total of 117 Canadian soldiers, including two women, have died as part of the Afghan mission since it began in 2002.

The soldiers wounded in Monday's blast were airlifted by helicopter to a military hospital at Kandahar Airfield despite a fierce sand storm that hit the area. An earlier report that the storm prevented choppers from reaching the scene of the blast was incorrect. Sad journalism to report before having all of the facts, but that is what most journalist's do these days. Report to quick.

Brig.-Gen. Jonathan Vance, the commander of Canadian troops in Afghanistan, said Blais had arrived in Afghanistan just two weeks ago. He praised the young woman's enthusiasm for the mission she was about to undertake.

"She was an energetic soldier who gave 100 per cent to every challenge she faced using a unique sense of humour, based on her honesty," Vance said. "Frank and direct, she demonstrated the qualities of a future leader who was respected by all members of her squadron."

Blais is survived by her mother Josee, grandmother Laurette and brother Billy. Her hometown was not released.

"This young woman's life did not go to waste; she believed in her role in Afghanistan and her dedication to the overall mission is beyond commendable," Vance said.

Blais is the second female soldier from Canada to be killed as part of the Afghan mission.

Capt. Nicola Goddard of the 1st Regiment of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, died on May 17, 2006, in a grenade attack in the Panjwaii district west of Kandahar city.

Blais's death comes a day before the Royal 22nd was to succeed the 3rd Royal Canadian Regiment of Petawawa, Ont. as the primary battle group in southern Afghanistan. A ceremony is scheduled late Tuesday that will see the changeover to the Royal 22nd under the leadership of Lt.-Col. Jocelyn Paul.

Blais's killing marks the first Canadian loss since March 20, when Master Cpl. Scott Vernelli, Cpl. Tyler Crooks, Trooper Jack Bouthillier (also just a few weeks in country) and Trooper Corey Hayes died in two separate explosions.

Racism. It has to STOP! Imagine if it did..John Lennon was on to something

Sorry guys, normally this blog is fun and friendly....other than post's regarding the Octo-mom or the C.Brown fiasco.....

Earlier today I was involved in a friendly debate on racism and it spilled into a battle from one person who is indeed a biggot. This conversation has two tales, one online and the other offline.

During the offline discussion a much heated debate broke out and well, there were clearly no winners.

Hate has no color.

Law breakers have no color.

Fanatics have no color.

Enough already.

So I thought I would send out an history bite (and yes in proper English we say an history...not a history....that is for Jim ;)) , anyway....

The Beatles performed on the Ed Sullivan show On Feb. 9, 1964 for 20 minutes.

For those 20 minutes there was no recorded violence...nothing of any kind in New York City....

All I can say is....

Imagine

If only I had a speedometer to see how slow my blog loads.

For those of us who love blogging, there are a huge list of tools that we need to get everything in check. Last comment I made was for a css compression tool.

This comment will be about a few other cool ways to help speed up your site load time.

Ever wish you could have a speedometer for your site load time?

Well if you use Firefox you can.

If you don't use Firefox....shame on you ;)

You must have the latest version of Firefox found here http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html

Anyway. From Firefox.com go to the add on located on the top toolbar section and search these two tools:

First one is YSlow. YSlow analyzes web pages and tells you why they're slow based on Yahoo's rules for high performance web sites. Found here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5369

Second is Firebug which integrates with Firefox to put a wealth of development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page... Firebug 1.3

Get it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843

Take some time to get to know the features. When they are loaded you will see them on the lower right side of your screen.

That's my tip for today.

13 Things Every Net User Should Know

This has got to be the funniest and possibly truest net statement I have ever read.
Enjoy.

13 Things Every Net User Should Know

1. Bill Gates is not giving you $1000, and Disney is not giving you a free vacation, no one is giving away cases of free M & M's, the GAP is not giving away clothing.

There is no baby food company issuing class-action checks. MTV will not give you backstage passes if you forward something to the most people. You can relax; there is no need to pass it on "just in case it's true." Furthermore, just because someone said in the message, four generations back, that "we checked it out and it's legit," does not actually make it true.

2. There is no kidney theft ring in New Orleans. No one is waking up in a bathtub full of ice, even if a friend of a friend swears it happened to their cousin. If you are hell-bent on believing the kidney-theft ring stories, please see: http://urbanlegends.tqn.com/library/weekly/aa062997.htm

And I quote: "The National Kidney Foundation has repeatedly issued requests for actual victims of organ thieves to come forward and tell their stories. None have."That's "none " as in "zero." Not even your friend's cousin.

3. Neiman Marcus doesn't really sell a $200 cookie recipe. And even if they do, we all have it. And even if you don't, you can get a copy at:
http://www.bl.net/forwards/cookie.html

Then, if you make the recipe and decide the cookies are that awesome, feel free to pass the formula on.

4. We all know all 500 ways to drive your roommates crazy, irritate co-workers, gross out bathroom stall neighbors and creep out people on an elevator. We also know exactly how many engineers, college students, Usenet posters and people from each and every world ethnicity it takes to change a light bulb.

5. If the latest NASA rocket disaster(s) DID contain plutonium that went to particulate over the eastern seaboard, do you REALLY think this information would reach the public via an AOL chain-letter?

6.There is no "Good Times " virus. In fact, you should never, ever, ever forward any email containing any virus warning unless you first confirm it at an actual site of an actual company that actually deals with viruses.

Try: http://www.norton.com/ or http://www.kumite.com/ or http://www.kumite.com

7. If your CC: list is regularly longer than the actual content of your message, you' re probably going to Hell.

8. If you're using Outlook, I.E., or Netscape to write email, turn off the "HTML encoding." Those of us on UNIX shells can't read it, and don't care enough to save the attachment and then view it with a web browser, since you 're probably forwarding us a copy of the Neiman Marcus Cookie Recipe anyway.

9. If you still absolutely MUST forward that 10th-generation message showing everyone else who 's received it over the last 6 months. It sure wouldn't hurt to get rid of all the "" (or the <) that begin each line. Besides, if it has gone around that many times - we' ve probably already seen it. But PLEASE LEARN HOW TO COPY AND PASTE!!!!!

10. Craig Shergold (or Sherwood, or Sherman, etc.) in England is not dying of cancer or anything else at this time and would like everyone to stopsending him their business cards. He apparently is also no longer a "little boy" either.

11. The "Make a Wish " foundation is a real organization doing fine work, but they have had to establish a special toll free hotline in response to the large number of Internet hoaxes using their good name and reputation. It is distracting them from the important work they do.

12. If you are one of those insufferable idiots who forwards anything that promises "something bad will happen if you don't," then something bad will happen to you if I ever meet you in a dark alley!

13. Women really are suffering in Afghanistan, and PBS and NEA funding are still vulnerable to attack (although not at the present time) but forwarding an email won 't help either cause in the least. If you want to help, contact your local legislative representative, or get in touch with Amnesty International or the Red Cross. As a general rule, email "signatures" are easily faked and mean NOTHING to anyone with any power to do anything about whatever the petition is complaining about NOTHING!!!

If you really care, and you're not just trying to make yourself feel better when your server is down at work, then get the hell outdoors and start a REAL petition.

(PS - There is no bill pending before Congress that will allow long distance companies to charge you for long distance when using the Internet, nor for the Post Office to "tax " e-mails.)

Bottom Line ... composing e-mail or posting something on the Net is as easy as writing on the walls of a public restroom. Don't automatically believe it unless it's proven true... ASSUME it's false, unless there is proof that it's true. Get it? Got it? Good!

Top 10 Common Dreams Explained - Interesting twists

According to msn news the following are the most common dreams, it's weird to read most common on msn and not "the hottest" or something. Any-hoo. Personally I think all dreams are just your sub-conscious trying to sort out issues and figure out answers to issues or worries in our lives. The dream satae is a relaxed atmosphere, usually unless your dream(s) are nightmares....

Just my opinion, here's the list. Enjoy.

Life may be just a dream, but how do we interpret it? What we dream at night can give us clues about what is important to us in waking life. Dreams help us to process our conscious thoughts and can give us new and important insights into the problems and challenges we face in the world. Although we may have strange and unusual dreams, there are a number of common dreams that many of us experience over and over again. Read the interpretations below for an explanation of symbols that seem to appear frequently in dreams.

1. Faulty or lost items: your phone won't work, your car breaks down, or you can't find your husband.
This dream is alerting you to areas of your life that need repair or extra care right now. You may want to slow down and pay more attention to the realm of life indicated. For example, if you dream of your phone not working, notice how you are communicating to others now. Are you doing everything you can to get your message across in a positive way? If not, you may want to tune up this area of your life.

2. Money: you received a windfall, or you lost your savings in the stock market.
Money in dreams symbolizes what you value or find important in life. If you dream of suddenly receiving a sum of money, this indicates that you are at a time in your life when your values are becoming very clear to you. If you have dreams of losing money, you may be experiencing a time of feeling separated from your sense of meaning in life. Try to explore what has been important to you in the past to see if your values have changed or altered over time.

3. You find yourself back in the classroom, or you've failed a test.
This dream indicates that there is a challenge in your life and you fear failing. It also can mean that you may feel that you have regressed in some way and are not up to the task currently at hand. You may also feel judged or tested by an authority figure or someone who is in charge of you in some way.

4. You or a loved one is ill or dying.
You may be approaching a time of great change when some parts of your life are falling away and disappearing. This dream is helping you to practice the feelings of loss that you may be having as the elements of your life or your relationships with others change and evolve. It is rare that this dream forecasts an actual death or illness, but it still might be a good idea to get a checkup or pay extra attention to your health now.

5. Being chased.
Being chased in a dream indicates that you may be feeling you have a lot of responsibilities that you are having a hard time keeping up with. This dream is often known as a "stress dream," indicating that its presence is a sign to try to relax and slow down.

6. Teeth: you're smiling with nice, clean teeth, or your teeth are breaking off or forming cavities.
Teeth represent time, stability, and maturity. The state of the teeth in your dream will give important clues as to what your relationships and feelings are related to these important life themes.

7. Nudity.
Dreams where you or someone else appears nude relate to feelings of being exposed or vulnerable in waking life. You may currently be having an experience where everyone else seems to know about your problems and issues, and you are having a hard time processing your situation privately.

8. Falling, flying, or sinking.
Changing direction, either going up or down in a dream, indicates where your awareness is in waking life. Dreams of falling or sinking symbolize a time of being more aware of your unconscious mind and deepest innermost thoughts, feelings, and memories. Dreams of flying indicate that you are exploring your conscious mind at this time or connecting to the realm of spirits, angels, and other energetic beings.

9. Water
Water in dreams is a sign that a certain emotional situation or experience is of importance in your life. Now is a good time to pay particular attention to your feelings and the realm of the imagination, dreams, and fantasies. The condition or state of the water will give clues as to the exact nature of your experience. Hurricanes and storms can indicate more challenging emotional situations, and on the opposite side, gentle streams and lakes indicate a more calm and peaceful emotional state or even a love or romantic connection.

10. Missing a boat, plane, bus, etc.
Transportation vehicles in dreams symbolize the ability to move and act in the world. They represent our will, desire, and skill at accomplishing and manifesting our dreams and goals. When one of these vehicles is missing, it can mean that we are having a hard time finding the motivation to act and move in the world. We may need to reconnect with what drives or propels us into creatively manifesting our dreams.

Developing the skill to interpret and make the most of your dream messages is an easy and enjoyable process and can be done by just about anyone.

Quick Tips to Interpret and Benefit from Your Dreams:
1. Keep a dream journal near your bed to record your dreams.
2. Read through your journal once a week and underline repeating dream symbols, terms, people, and themes that arise.
3. Use the guide above to track your current emotional state and life issues, and notice the patterns and timing of their evolution.
4. Try to identify any dream symbols (cars, teeth, water) that appear in your waking life, noticing which appear with greater frequency and the nature of your interaction with these symbols. Is there any overlap between your waking and dreaming life?

The History of Easter - my view on the subject.

Come March. And the world around you is ready to go ga ga, in a frenzied atmosphere. Some skeptics might ignore the folly of fighting in March, but you can not beat the monster that starts its season of renewal, joy and marks the beginning of the renewal period with a basket of new pledges and gifts in abundance . Releases of the nature of their appearance tired to don a new costume. The heat of the sun showers of happiness, as to counteract the cold winter which total around us. The flow becomes sparkling. The flowering of tulips, crocuses and daffodils - all influenced by the cool breeze south, back of vibrations in the ground.

What can be a better day for fun and partying? To find his family? Renewal of friendship and love? And feelings?
Perhaps all these features have made the spring festivals, and almost synonymous. That since the dawn of human history.

Even in Greek mythology, Demeter and Persephone, the idea of a goddess returning seasonally Netherlands in areas with natural light. It is on the vernal equinox on March 21, when nature is in resurrection after the winter season.

Even Easter - a great opportunity to remember the golden and purple bunnies and chocolate eggs, buns holy cross is also a festival of spring. As if the Almighty has chosen this wonderful season of death, resurrection and exaltation of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
History of Easter

Easter, the principal feast of the Christian church year, celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion. The origins of the Easter date for the beginning of Christianity, which is probably the oldest Christian observance after the Sabbath (Saturday). Later on Saturday, then came to be regarded as the weekly festival of the Resurrection.

Meanwhile, many cultural historians to find in the celebration of Easter, a convergence of three traditions - Pagan, Hebrew and Christian.

According to St. Bede, an English historian of the early 8th century, Easter has its roots in the old Teutonic mythology. Is derived from the name Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring, to whom the month of April was dedicated. The festival of Eostre was celebrated at the vernal equinox, when day and night becomes an equal part of the day.

The English name "Easter" is much more recent. When the first French Christians wanted others to accept Christianity, it was decided to use the name of this feast of Easter to coincide with the name of the ancient festival of spring. This made it more comfortable for other people to accept Christianity.

However, it is noted by some that the festival of Easter, celebrated today, is linked to the Jewish tradition, Passover. This is celebrated during Nisan, the first month of the Hebrew lunar year. Passover under Moses commemorates Israel released nearly 300 years of slavery in Egypt.

It was during this Passover in 30 AD Christ was crucified under the order of the Roman governor Pontius Pilate, while the Jewish high priests accused Jesus of "blasphemy". The resurrection came three days later, on Easter Sunday. The early Christians, many of them high in the Jewish tradition, Easter, considered as a new feature of the Passover (Easter). It was observed in memory of the arrival of the Messiah, as foretold by the prophets. Equanimous and with the proclamation of the resurrection. Thus, the beginning of the Christian Passover became a union celebration in memory of the passion-death-resurrection of Jesus. However, in the 4th century, Good Friday came to be regarded as an opportunity. And Easter Sunday was devoted exclusively to the honor of the glorious resurrection.

Throughout Christianity, Easter Sunday has become a party in honor of Christ. At the same time, many pagan rites of spring has become a part of their celebration. May it be that the increase in the number of new converts who could not break completely free from the influence of pagan culture of their ancestors.

But despite all the influence he has been a significant change in the mind. No more glorification of the physical return of the Sun God. Instead, the emphasis in the sun of justice, who had won banishing the horrors of death forever.

Easter was well established in the second century. However, there was controversy over the exact date of the celebration of Easter between churches of East and West. East, he wanted a weekday because early Christians observed each year, the Passover on 14 Nisan, the month on the lunar calendar. But the West is that Easter should always be a Sunday, whatever the date.

To resolve this problem the emperor Constantine called the Council of Nicaea in 325. The question of the date of Easter was one of their main concerns. The Council decided that Easter should fall on Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. However, in determining the date of the Equinox remains a problem. The Alexandrian, noted for his great knowledge in astronomical calculations were given the task. On 21 March and was designed to be the perfect date for spring equinox.

The dating of Easter today follows the same. Therefore, the churches of the West observe the first day of the full moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox on March 21., Is now celebrated mobile between March 21 and April 25.

Even some churches of the East observe Easter according to the date of the Feast of Passover.
The drug is withdrawn as soon as Ash Wednesday, when the penitential period of Lent begins. Lent and Holy Week ends on Easter Sunday, the day of resurrection.

Looking For Inexpensive Easter Gift Ideas or things to do?

Who doesn't love Easter? Seriously....I love Easter, my teeth however don't.

I remember as a youngster looking forward to the "Hunt" and the egg coloring and the playing around all day. Sadly, now a days I live in Northern Ontario, so the kids can't look outside because we still have SNOW....I'll deal with the weather person later...gggrrrr...anyway, where was I?

Oh yeah, Easter.

Today, the wife and I went to Walmart to get a "few" Easter treats and we spent a "few" bucks, only 100.00 not bad for treats and gifts etc.

A few great gifts for Easter are emerging for the creative person. Outside of the usual items:

Chocolate Bunnies
Chocolate Candies
Who am I kidding...CHOCOLATE EVERYTHING (sorry :))

Anyway a few great things depending on age are also the following:

Bunny Ears, great photo memories
Bunny Suits, use this one at your own discretion, payback when the kid(s) grow up could backfire ;)
Bunny Arts and Crafts, drawing items, crayons, pencils, something to draw on, i.e canvass...so you don't have to repaint the living room....aaahhh memories....not an impressive one either.

Kids love chocolate, but they also love the experience. So make it a memorable day.

Have a pancake breakfast and shape them like bunny ears or something Easter-ish

Create an Easter Pinyata and grab a stick - let the kids battle it out, trust me great fun for the kids.

Have a contest that whoever gets the most eggs gets a prize. We tell the kids the winner gets to pick dinner....sometimes it's a bad idea but hey it's once a year.

Another great idea is marshmallow Easter baskets. The kids love this because they get to create it:

Grab a few baskets, eggs, coloring stuff...you get the idea.

There are so many things to do, get creative and have fun.

The kids will love it, so will you.

Until you clean up ;)
