What's new in Northern Ontario?

Well the New Year has come and gone. Shania Twain was back home for the Torch Run, very cool methinks.

One of our local mines is closing, thanks to a lot of B.S. Personally, having worked there as a contractor I strongly blame the union and NOT the government, but that's my opinion.

We have had a crazy warm winter so far, Hell as I write this it is a nice -15 outside...barely jacket weather for us Northerner's.

We have had a great year and hopefully we can figure out how to get the miner's employeed somewhere else so that they don't lose their homes and their livelyhood.

It will most definitely be an interesting year for all concerned.
